The Position
The Finance & Logistics Manager will be responsible for the overall supervision of the company’s accounting and controlling functions; ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies and the group rules are met regarding all the company’s financial affairs; responsible for the monitoring and enforcing the performance of the 3rd party logistics provider; and ensures adequate demand planning for the local stock levels.

Based in Cairo, Egypt and overseeing the Anglophone North Africa region (Libya, Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia).

Job Description:

Ensures quality of financial transactions recording and reporting both to the Group and for the statutory purpose
Is responsible for managing company’s Net Operating Assets
Is a Business partner in terms of providing information for decision making and performance monitoring
Formulates financial targets and budgets
Ensures control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems. Ensures the application of Global and local Delegation of Authority and Segregation of duties rules
Is accountable for the preparation and audit of the annual accounts
Is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the service levels agreed with the 3rd party logistics provider

In close contact with the key stakeholders of the regional Finance organizations, you successfully analyze, assess and judge on accounting and reporting requirements. You also bring the following skills and experience:


University degree-level education. MBA is an asset
Qualified member of an accountancy body (Chartered accountant) or holder of an equivalent qualification
Significant experience in Finance, with at least five years in senior management
Experienced at leading and managing a team of employees
Good understanding of integrated accounting software and decision support package
Good understanding of supply chain processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with modelling, accounting and valuation. Attention to detail is a must
Proven ability to work collaboratively across an organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience interacting with senior level management
