. Job Purpose

Manage the ground and gateway operations resources and infrastructure established at country level.  Implement Regional strategies and initiatives and define resulting country operations strategies incorporating local requirements.  Lead service and operational cost management improvement activities and ensure the provision of a market leading service to DHL customers.

2. Principal Accountabilities

Manage the provision of operational support activities including Dispatch, Infrastructure and Country Network Management to meet day-to-day operational requirements and accommodate future capacity needs and performance objectives.
 Maintain visibility of service performance achieved for defined customers and ensure appropriate operational resources are applied to performance analysis, reporting and improvement.
 Support commercial and sales initiatives with operational expertise and resources, especially in the defining of service performance capability and operational cost analysis, and implement new products, services and improved operations practices that meet customer needs.
 Manage the relationship with other Regional (MENA) and Country functions or entities, including IS, HR, Aviation, Finance and Commercial, to ensure commitment to achievement of agreed business and functional strategies and objectives.
 Implement and promote regular contact with external regulatory authorities (e.g. Police, Customs, Courier Association [Customs committee], other government agencies), ensuring that DHL’s views are well represented and minimizing the impact on DHL of any country legislative changes.
Lead and maintain a high level of awareness, preparation and reaction to Security-related risks and threats to the country operation and their impact on DHL’s business and relationship with customers.
 Ensure that the team is provided with clear direction and performance standards and is staffed, trained and motivated to meet set targets.  Perform the Motiv8 process regularly for direct reports to manage individual performance and career aspirations.
As security is a vital and integral part of our business and as such contributes to its overall success, line managers are responsible for compliance to DHL security policies and procedures
3. Skills/ Qualifications

10+ years experience in related field, including at least 5 years of management experience. Has extensive depth and breath of expertise and experience in business/functional area.
A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of work supervised.
Applies and/or develops highly advanced concepts.
Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues

Role Purpose:

The jobholder is responsible for updating the Express Logistics Center (ELC) stock materials through different inventory systems, in order to ensure stock accuracy in the ELC and to provide service to the ELC customers, respecting delivery deadlines and internal procedures, and in compliance with all customs regulations.
Communication with Global Customers in operational transactions and reporting.

 Main Responsibilities:

  To ensure that all data relevant to an inbound and/or outbound order are received in a manner that will enable them to be processed and recorded in the appropriate system fields.
To update customer inventory systems as per work instructions and maintained current.
 To escalate to line supervisor/manager any service failures caused by subcontractors or other DHL entities.
Ensures that any discrepancies (quality/quantity) are highlighted correctly and in a timely manner reported to the customer and/or internal customer services and ELC management team.
Where necessary performs pre-alert and pro-active track and trace.
Skills/ Qualifications:

0-2 years of industry experience
Very good English written & spoken.
Very good computer skills.
Excellent Communication and Problem Solving Skills.
 Ability to work under pressure & on shift basis
Egyptian nationality is a must.
